Thanks for Giving Everything We Could

I keep thinking of the get of jail free card I hold about writing this interminable blog. And maybe I’ll use it soon.

Tonight is the last night Lee and are spending together before he leaves for Thanksgiving with relatives in Nor Cal and then heads onto Vancouver for a job he has already set up for Monday morning.

That it is. There is no wiggle room. There is no room for weeping reprieves or switching of plans. That’s it.

I am not good at closing doors, and this feels like a door closing.

But we talked over our extended, and fairly glorious afternoon, intermittently about closures and ends, and we are both open.

While we both move on.

In the meantime I think the pictures we took this afternoon and evening say more than I can write and I will start with some of them now, and I think there may be more in the coming days.

Beautiful day, beautiful man, very funny dog. Great dinner. Going to bed.

Odd life.
