The Day After
I will let the pictures do the talking.
Christmas just got better after we got back.
I wrote about the beach, which was brilliant, and then we galvanized and then folks showed up, and it exceeded all of our expectations.
Everyone I hoped would show up showed up.
Everyone was super smart.
Everyone thought everyone else was really amazing and smart and attractive.
At one point I went to the bathroom and the roar of lively conversation was so loud, sincere and happy I marveled. What a bunch of happy people who were truly enjoying each other.
It was a satisfying Christmas, and merry in the best way possible.
Today was so low key it is barely worth mentioning. Since we were up until 3am again, cleaning up and chatting and then had super duper cramps in the morning, it was good enough to get some more grant work done, a plan for the last days of working with Cynthia, getting the house back to pre-holiday normalcy, and getting ramped up for the coming year.
I know there is something else, but no big worry, no big rumpling of the brow, no big questions. The best part of the day was the gym, and looking at close to 15 years of my installation work with Cynthia.
I am so glad Christmas is over, and so, so very glad I had amazing people around me and had a funky good time.
Thank you Laurie, Cynthia, Jay, Dave, Anh, Rich and Susan. You are all so amazing and I am honored to know you all.
And you too Lefty.
