Last Day…
…of January.
It has been a crappy and depressing weekend. I am in low ebb turmoil with a few folks, I am scared about my pending commitments and projects, I am a little terrified of my work situation at City College which really is silly, but this desperate, not too nice, co-worker is making us all super uncomfortable and jeopardizing the health of the work place; and that’s what I am walking into tomorrow at 8am.
Aside from that I have been sitting on my ass trying to take care of all the pressing writing, scripting, producing and other sometimes fun, often tedious and perfunctory tasks that I need to get in order to make the next two weeks, and likely the rest of my life, run more smoothly.
Being the boss is a mixed bag. That’s why working in the Issue Room, when I’m not being bullied, is grand.
Thank the heavens above for Cynthia.
And then I got this amazing feedback from a granting organization today about why they passed on considering funding me for the doc I am working on. Check this out-no greetings, no sign off, they were freaked out. Here’s the whole email thread, note it is backwards:
